The image is a photo of Duchamp taken by Richard Hamilton, a great friend and admirer of Duchamp. In 1966, Hamilton organised a major Duchamp retrospective at Tate starring a replica of the famous glass sculpture, 'The Bride Stripped Bare by her Bachelors, Even (The Large Glass)', 1915-1923. In this image Duchamp inspects a piece of the glass replica featuring the oculist witnesses. This distinctive poster was produced by Petersburg Press in 1970, with a shiny surface on the part of the image that shows glass. The details on the glass are printed in metallic silver. The rest of the poster is matte. 59 x 80cm. £900 Full image
